Thorncome Preserve – Batch 2

– Porridge/ Cereal / Tea.
– Story time with Chris.
– Pondering over human thigh joints and the serendipitous moment a hen brushes past a sprig of thyme.
– A walk to lubricate our minds, Crosby in tow.
– Stop off at Thorncombe Village Shop for a scone, tea cake and coffee. Set off with supplies for the afternoon and evening ahead – bread, bramble, apple and plum and wine – everything a Jammatologist needs.
– A walk back to the farm via rolling fields, rolling fields and an excited Crosby.
– Bacon sandwich in the garden.
Grounds For Discussion (Beyond London Edition) Thorncombe review done with intermittent delving into the jam.
– A bout of table tennis, flailing limbs
Pondered on the fate of mankind, not an easy feat.
– Dinner: Sorrel and spinach soup, pork chop with apple and fried sage leaves, mash potato and purple sprouting broccoli.
– Dessert: rhubarb and ginger cake with rhubarb and Cassis syrup.
– Copious amounts of wine, the Chardonnay of which was recommended to us by a gentleman at the village shop.
